Sustainable Distress Screening Implementation Study

The overall goal of this pilot study was to determine the implementation potential of a volunteer-based electronic distress screening and psychosocial support system for patients newly diagnosed with cancer. The main study objectives were to (1) document the feasibility, usability, and acceptability of a volunteer-based e-distress screening and support system for these patients, (2) examine the nature of participants' requests for distress-related information, and (3) assess whether distress scores changed following the provision of the program.
