Samar Attieh

Dr. Attieh completed a PhD in Experimental Medicine at McGill University under the supervision of Prof. Carmen G. Loiselle. Her dissertation objectives were to measure multi-stakeholder perceptions of cancer team functioning during the COVID-19 pandemic and its transition and to identify key contributors to optimal team functioning as perceived by healthcare professionals, patients, informal caregivers, and volunteers. Dr. Attieh is joining the University of Ottawa as a postdoctoral researcher to work on a mixed-method study exploring psychosocial factors such as hope in the context of rare cancers.
